Role: CMF Designer

Color and Texture Development for Hefty waste items. With various retail placements, in-line & seasonal promotions.

Developed and designed color and texture concepts for everyday product offerings as well as promotional colors for seasonal sets such as Back to College.

Process for work begins with trend research and competitive audit, followed by ideation and renderings to present to our internal teams as well as retail partners to sell concepts and merchandising solutions.

Designs sold at Target, Walmart, Lowe’s, At Home, Meijer, + more.

Everyday In-Line Waste Colors


goal: to design a unique everyday color for a tall waste can, that stands apart from the typical black, white and silver options.

result: through trend & competitive research a warm stone color was designed to add warmth to kitchens. Ability to coordinate with a variety of colors and material finishes within a home, including stainless steel.

Texture Development


Hammered Texture: Challenged to create a unique pattern to update an existing product.

Worked directly with a texture engraving manufacturer throughout the process to ensure feasibility and quality.

End result was a pattern utilizing lines in various directions to give the illusion of a hammered texture. The product had an almost reflective look to it with the texture as the light hit it from different angles.

Back to College (BTC) Promotional Colors


Colors were chosen based on trend research and color predictions. The results were fun bold colors perfect for the young adults entering college or living on their own.

Sold at Meijer & Target.
